The art really fits with the vibe of the material they've put up so far. I'm excited.

No, dude, it's totally Giger's fault that everyone thinks his blue airbrush biomech period is the only thing he ever did.

There's quite a few in this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... websitofsw

It says right at the top "The Shaft pictures, which I...", etc. That's what I'm talking about.

When he was younger he did a whole series of ink drawings which are really claustrophobic and bizarre...stuff like this:

Iron Goldie to the rescue.

I don't know if I'd say this stuff is superior to the more famous airbrush pieces, most of its appeal comes from the fact that you haven't had it shoved in your face everywhere all your life. The problem with the airbrush stuff is that you really need to see the originals to get the full effect. Most of them are enormous, and they really draw you in at that size, whereas shrunk down in the art books it's kind of... yeah, look, a bunch of cocks with goofy faces.

Yup. Sounds a lot rawer than Monotheist but still keeping with the whole doom/gloom atmosphere. Some parts remind me a lot of early Frost.
