I played Fallout 3 in third person, like 80 hours. and I liked it, LOL
It looks kinda shitty because it seems like the guy is skying when he moves, but you will forget about it after a while.

I liked the 3rd person view for exploring outside. When I would get into combat or go inside I went back to first person.

I actually prefer 3rd person games for the most part, it's just not very well done in Fallout 3.

3rd person in fallout feels spindly and disconnected because of the "skating" and camera distance, and then on top of that the combat borders on impossible and is at best controller throwingly frustrating

I can't STAND 3rd person view in Fallout. To me it almost renders the game unplayable. I think that being able to choose is a killer idea but Bethesda kinda shit the bed in their attempt to apply it to this game.
Anyhoo... I rented Demon Souls today and I'm digging it so far. It's gonna take me a few plays to get used to the controls and so forth but I definitely like it enough to say this:

Concerning Uncharted, change "pretty fuckin' rad" to "FUCKING TITTIES". This is one goddamn well made game. A lot of game developers like to fly the "interactive movie" flag but this is one of the very few games I've played that actually delivers.
I can't wait to try Among Thieves.

Yeah, an article saying ME2 is better than UC2 is just stupid. Not that I'd ever consider that site or any video game/site to have any sort of integrity. It's more like "
Oh come on." I pretty much agree with the article but it's just so pointless to compare two different games. Some minor things bothered me in UC1 and UC2 (in the spoiler) but they're both phenomenal games. I can't believe people care that much about what score a game gets. Both games are awesome, everyone wins, shut up. Teenagers are the worst.
The goddamn monster "twists" in each one. I knew it was coming in 2 but I was hoping, praying it didn't. Also, not enough Sully in part 2. He's an awesome character. I don't give a shit about Elena.

yeah definitely not enough sully.
i never had a problem with the monsters in either games. in the first one they creeped me the fuck out and they didn't seem particularly out of place to me ? i dunno, those games were very indiana jones to me and mysticism is certainly not lacking in those films.
the one thing that pissed me off about the second one was when you first get confronted by the blue monster and you have to shoot him in the face like forty fucking times to scare him off but then it just turns out to be a guy in a suit ? hey what the fuck ?!

Agreed on it working better in the first one. In both games it did help break up the monotony of shooting weak merc, strong merc, shield merc and sniper merc over and over. Just wish they would have done something more creative for 2 because the devs were hitting the exact right notes and then I get to that part.
