Brooklyn NY three-piece CASTEVET will release their debut full-length “Mounds Of Ash” through Profound Lore Records this summer. Generating a notable buzz with their now out of print “Stones/Salts” 7” and their visceral live performance, Castevet are a unique act that combine a lethal mix of progressive/post hardcore with the musical tendencies of such acts as VOIVOD, VED BUENS ENDE, and on occasion, DEATHSPELL OMEGA and CONVERGE. More news surrounding this crushing debut shall surface as its release date draws closer. They sound like that band Altar of Plagues. Something about that Profound Lore label pisses me off, but I can't put my finger on it.
