You do realize this means that they have to turn over all mechanical royalties on these 3 songs to the songwriters, right? This cuts their royalty down by a significant margin. A better cash grab would be to just write a bunch of bullshit songs and put that out, thereby retaining all songwriting (mechanical) royalties and album generated royalties.

I haven't heard anything they've done since Under Pressure, maybe I should check up on Murderworks
