Meh, I'd say most of these old rock stars exaggerate their party days a bit. Maybe it's to still look cool? All I know is there's a difference between people who have a drinking problem, and people who put serious time and effort into drinking themselves to death.
turn these off meatman.

I've had 2 beers and I'm drunk. I'd be such a lame alcoholic.

Re: no pity for the croakin' alcoholics??
My uncle Fred drank like a fish every day of his adult life, smoked like a chimney, drove drunk constantly (on more than one occasion I saw him park his van on the street in front of his house, open the door and fall face first onto the pavement, completely smashed out of his mind) without ever getting pulled over or even having an accident, and he lived to the ripe (pickled?) old age of 84, without any serious health problem, other than the death thing. The man was not human.

I can only say that...since I quit drinking life has only become better. For me, though, it was a case of all or nothing. I suppose I sort of envy the people that just kick back and have a few beers, etc. The hardest part was actually finding other ways to relax that didn't make me feel utterly lame. I'm glad that I did have all the experiences I did when I was drinking, but...man, it was just time to stop.
I know people here (some) will laugh at me for this, but...I'm pretty sure I'm going to go back to being vegetarian too. I miss it.

If it's your time, then it's your time. Better not to fuck with that.
