I'll be posting up the complete sets from every band that played the Speed Trials this year! I'm also trying some different setting when I export these videos, so I can upload larger and higher quality videos. There should be an improvement in the quality of the videos from here on out, though it's still the generic youtube player. Eventually we'll have this stuff running off our own site completely, but for now I'm try and get the best I can out of youtube.

Considering the line-up, how exactly did Thousandswilldie win?

It was all a mess, due to poor planning. None of the judges were clear on what the criteria to judge by was, nobody was keeping track of set times, and some of the other judges felt bands that played over their 15 minute set should be disqualified. PLF, Phobia, and Kill The Client all played over 15 minutes, and were thus disqualified, and the irony is that it turns out Thousandswilldie also played over their 15 minute limit, by a couple minutes. I didn't think bands should be disqualified, but I was outvoted. Bird was voted in by some of the judges as a way to irritate the fans as well as maybe even the promoter, since that was a band he likes. He had to sit there and watch people boo the band. I like Bird too, but I have no idea why they were on this show.

Wow, I had no idea it was actually a competition. "Speed Trials" just seemed like a clever name. But no, there were actual judges and people booed a band for not being fast. Childish Gilman antics. How about this: people get a bunch of good bands together and enjoy it. That's my original idea but you're free to use it.

Sheesh, even I knew there was a time limit and I live on the opposite coast and have never attended one of these. I like the idea of Speed Trials being competitive and I also think bands over the time limit should be "disqualified". There are 032830498903948 shows happening all the time, I think Speed Trials is an awesome idea just because it's something slightly different and more interesting. I know "if something's not broke, don't fix it", I wouldn't want there to be tons of Battle of the Bands-type things going on, but I think for one show a year it's a fun idea.

Yeah, i think the competitive aspect is fun. Booing is kinda weak, though. Whatever. The year i went was a blast, and the bands who "won" totally deserved it, especially P.L.F. Despise You pretty much purposefully disqualified themselves by using Lack of Interest's slot as well, and that was fine.

Who was singing for the first part of Progeria's set? Too bad Oscar isn't able to go on the road with them these days, that dude rules.
