2001-2005 Metalcore vs Nowadays Death Core

I was thinking about all the shitty chick pants bands that went out and made shitty At The Gates clone music from 2001 and 2005. Then I realized that these same people discovered Suffocation and started deathcore band.

So I guess my question is which style are you able to tolerate more??

It's all interesting stuff, but I gotta go with what's current and happening. I just look back at the days of worshipping Alive or Just Breathing and laugh. It was that album and Underoath's They're Only Chasing Safety that did it for me back in the day.

And honestly, I don't think that deathcore came out of dudes worshipping Suffocation. It's more like people just wrote songs that emphasized the breakdowns more and more until you got that awesome all-breakdowns good times deathcore. It's great stuff that I love to throw down to at shows. Too bad it's getting a little played out with audiences anymore, who are getting more into the Stoner Screamo.
