I always liked Xasthur, he reignited my interest in BM back in the early 2000s when it'd been all but dormant for 5 years or so, thank you Scott for making BM interesting once again,

It's not really my place to defend Xasthur (I can only attempt a weak defense of my listening tastes/loves) but goddamit, Manatee, if you're going to mock someone's personality (which you have no insight into) or someone's music you might try something original so you don't end up looking like a lazy idiot. Energy and/or creativity in mocking would at least make you look sincere. Besides, where is a black metal musician supposed to live? A cave on the side of a mountain? LA is one of the darkest/most soul-crushing places on Earth, as you well know. When I hear the music coming out of that city I am never surprised, either by its pain and loneliness OR, in other genres, its flabby grasps towards commercialism. I can only request that you aim YOUR flabby grasps towards something more deserving? I think we all get it, you don't like Xasthur. Yawn?
