I think I remember seeing you there.

I was a bit shocked that so many people payed $45 bucks to see them. They totally killed it though. The sound was great, same venue Repulsion played at. They were playful and energetic the entire time. Would see again.
Sweeeeeeeeet! Commence full excitement. Another friend of mine saw them 7 years ago or something, and couldn't stop raving about how preposterous they were live.

He was much more playful and childlike than I thought. There were thumbs up and a lot of "get a load of this guy" pointing and "hey, what did I do?" shrugs.
Cutesy.
I'm jealous of you Ross.

You've seen their music videos, you know there's gotta be some comedy underneath that corpse paint almost all the time. Come to think of it, I've got some Grimoire comp that Bill Zebub gave me long ago that has Abbath singing the Popeye theme song cause Bill requested it.

Tell you again? I don't recall this topic being covered before, but I'm sure you can read a little about winter and apply that knowledge to Los Angeles.

I think I'm going to this show. You should be fine with traffic, I do this drive all the time and the only time I've hit traffic was on the Sunday following Thanksgiving. You're gonna be coming down at a time when everybody else is going the opposite way of you. The I-5 doesn't directly hit the 101 where you're trying to go, you need to split off onto the 170 for about 5 miles (the entirety of that freeway) and it spits you out onto the 101 which is probably the only time you're going to hit any traffic, about a 15-20 minute delay. Depending on how many times you stop and if you lag with eating or anything you will probably be fine if you leave by noon. I don't know why you want to get there at 7 unless you just want to walk around and look at the squatters in Hollywood.

Right across from the Capitol Records building? There's even a scary burger rape shack across the road where Ross can get all kinds of botulism. Take pics, Ross.

Tomorrow night huh, good venue and easy to get to. My frugal mode may outweigh black metal. Doad's right, awesome food in Thai town, Turung rules.

Totally awesome show, especially when you realise the vocals sound just like Popeye.

TheDOAD wrote:yeah that place does become a club. But usually shows go until 10:30 or 11 tops. its so funny to come outside and have the most giant Pile of Los Angeles' trashiest people all pissed off waiting on line to get into some shitty club. I would go, But uh... Im false. and Ill be swimming. Oh also Ross, Looks like some plans moved around so If you need entertainment on Sat I dont need to be back home until like 4 or so Not noon.
i fucking hate it when they do that.
i saw Neurosis/ Voivod/ Today is the Day in munich and they had to be out of the place by eleven or so. i was so fucking pissed off. probably the best show i've ever seen. at least Neurosis did the smart thing and skipped the letting the people wait before the encore -part.

and i saw Abbath spit fire in 2001. funny show. i still have a bootleg of it on slsk.
