I think I was actually mad at metal around 96-97... I felt really hurt/betrayed by the big thrash bands and hadn't really found extreme metal yet

The Less Than Jake CD was the first time I encountered a band have 30 seconds of stuff before the first track, if you backseeked (backsought?) at the beginning of the CD. It made me feel really special at the time.
