I'm going to hate on the Lakers as much as ever this year...for being such shitheads that cater to the "name recognition star power" model of feeding hyped bullshit to their stupid millioniare fanbase... giving Kobe $26 million a year hillariously guarantees them mediocrity at best and near worst in the west if Kobe and his million miles ankles pop a spring.

i like ed davis for sure. his playoff evaporation problems won't even remotely matter on that shit team. also, he's a fucking megabargain for what he can do at the rate he's getting paid

Besides listening to KLAC every day I like the Lakers since Shaq years, so I am at least following them. Maybe that doesn't qualify my opinion but I still say fuck it, let Kobe have his money if that's what they wanna do. Most of the people complaining about it are the Laker haters. They should be thrilled! Chut up

I haven't seen anyone complaining about it except the smart Laker fans. Everyone else just laughs at it.

compounding the problem is that since the league's bullshit veto of their cp3 trade, the clips moonwalked into competitiveness while the lakers tried to just mush a bunch of garbage into a blender with TEAM written on the side in sharpie

if cp3 goes to any other city and the clips are still pissing on their feet (admittedly with a top three player in the ligg), the lakers scrutiny vanishes somewhat

but the kobe contract is still dumb, juergen klinsmann is right, american sports disproportionately rewards past performance versus anticipated production. it's in basically every sport here. and yeah, it's not kobe's fault for taking it, but it's on the lakers for offering it: loyalty is not a luxury sports teams can afford

for my calling boozer a creampuff in the past, he became remarkably efficient in recent years (and fell off a cliff offensively)! also jordan hill is far better than i realized, though still overpaid. the lakers' front line might actually be the sole bright spot this coming season, and if randle pans out, with adequate depth.

unfortunately the rest of the team is still a dumpster fire.

Boozer has always been efficient & consistent. Thibs just never put him in the 4thQ and therefore minutes were down.

I guess we'll see what Sacre is made out of this season, along with the rest of em including Kobe. Gonna be ugly I think.
