You probably couldn't tell what's going on by listening to it anyway. It's a pretty innocuous conversation, but the body language is unmistakable. She's sitting, trapped against the wall, he's leaning right over her, one hand on the wall, one in his pocket (doing god knows what), eyes occasionally narrowing to sinister slits of steely-gray British-American moslestitude.
I happen to know what room he's staying in (did I mention this gig is at a hotel?).
Just saying, tomorrow's headline might be "Heroic celebrity gossip columnist saves nineteen year-old from being raped by Spinal Tap funnyman Christopher Guest". Don't be surprised.
