Also, I have to post this song because it's actually the first one I thought of when I saw this thread. In my mind, this is one of the best pop-punk songs from the last ten years and it's from an underappreciated band:

When I saw the topic of this thread before I clicked it I thought,"I have to post Ursula Finally has tits if no one has yet!".
Here are some other favorites from my dark years of pop punk... <

never really thought of saves the day as pop punk, more emo-ish.. someone at a record store back in the day told me he read an article comparing chris conley's lyrics to danzigs, saying they were dark and morbid. i always thought that was funny.
and here are some more of my favorites

Stay What You Are and on, I agree with you, but Through Being Cool is totally a pop-punk record. Chris Conley's lyrics did start to get more gruesome (relatively to other pop-punk) but that article's comparison is pretty silly.
Also, Ben...
Fung Tunt posted enough Lagwagon to have this song stuck in my head all day: it's good to be 13 again:

EDIT: Oh hey, this song was also on the Life in the Fat Lane comp with the last song Mandie posted.
