Arya killing the T-1000 and reclaiming her name was fine. All the Sandor stuff was great, same with the King's Landing business. Next week is going to be insane.

Show should just be about the Clegane bros from now on. Fuck all the other characters.

Certainly the Blackfish didn't die offscreen?

They couldn't have casted a more perfect Hound. His scenes were so so good.

Blackfish definitely dead. He even said he hasn't had a sword fight in years, and he's old as fuck. He knew he was dying by staying, but he didn't want to leave home, and went out like a boss. Edmure is a pussy but I would have been shitting my pants if Jaime threatened me like that too.

Maybe the men who came for him decided they didn't want to work for someone who was going to surrender to the Lannisters and helped him escape.

Yeah, that pretty much ruled. I did think the Littlefinger cavalry showing up just in the nick of time was a bit much, but between all the ridiculous violence and Ramsay getting torn apart by his own dogs, I guess I can live with it.

In all honesty, though, I'm about ready for everyone to hit the level cap and unlock the endgame. I really hope they stick to the plan (apparently?) of ending this with season 7 and don't drag it out just because they can.

Episode ruled hard. I loved the shot of Jon's back as he was ducking and weaving and slicing dudes when chaos was all around. The horses charging had me yell, "Fuck yeah! Go go!" like fool.

There are talks of an eighth season but S7 and S8 will have a smaller number of episodes like 6 to 7 each season.

Ergh. See, my concern here is, the show is so ridiculously successful that you have to wonder whether the suits aren't saying it would be stupid to end it now when they can probably milk it for another five seasons until they've run it into the ground.

There's two more books yet to be released so they still have a wealth of material to use. There's no way it's going to get 5 more seasons though, two maximum.

I would be all for a prequel show that happens during Robert's rebellion and when he became king. That would be worth watching.

What I'm worried about is them just making up their own shit or throwing plot lines out of sequence just for the sake of prolonging the show and cashing in. There's a nice momentum to everything right now, and I hope it pays off next season. The problem is that the basic premise "humans too distracted by political infighting to notice real threat gathering of the juggalos in the north" can basically be drawn out indefinitely if someone decides that's more profitable.

so they sped up this season to freight train speed and then they're going to throw the brakes on to cash in on the material that has no book precedent? nah son..

if anything theres just going to be more shows about westeros/essos etc. say what you want about those prodcuer dudes, i think they're looking to get out and respect what they've done

you aren't really worried about that

So where was Littlefinger this whole time? We last saw him a few episodes ago and then he left and then what? He was just hanging out with his cavalry a few miles away waiting for Sansa to come ask for help?

Was not expecting anything to happen in Meereen this week, but they did everything there right. Dothraki army arrived, Dany took back control of the city with all of her dragons, Tyrion got to give good advice, and now she's taking on the Greyjoy fleet and forming a potentially valuable alliance. I was very happy about that.

As for the battle and the rest, it was all great. Davos and Tormund's conversation about their failed kings was fantastic. "Happy shitting!" I'm interested to see how much Jon knows about Littlefinger, and what he'll think of this new alliance. Littlefinger is obviously going to want something big in return for his help, and based on the preview, it looks like he might be thinking Sansa as a wife?
