So Clegane is with the Brotherhood, wondering if this sets up Brienne to run into him again, which would be interesting considering she came to take Arya from him under Lannister orders, and she's still carrying Jaime's sword with the lion pommel

Man holy fuck
Everything's crazy
They did such a great job of perching everything on the precipice without leaving it feeling like a cliffhanger
Everything's poised for next season but nothing's like "but what about ??!?!!" In the immediate sense

Arya beginning her path of destruction may well have been my favourite part in a thoroughly great episode

So..
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
Jon Snow is Stark and Targaryen?
And he should be the rightful ruler of Westeros?
And the Targaryen war was built on a lie?
Episode delivered for such a great season.

I don't think Westeros is ready for an assassin of Arya's caliber who's essentially a dog without a leash.
What I love the most is that Ned Stark's living children are vastly superior to him in fighting, ruling, warfare and political ambition.

Arya slicing Walder Frey's neck with a sickly, satisfying grin was a nice, disturbing sight.

It was. Better editing and soundtrack than we're used to seeing, too.
Sooooo much better overall than last season

Hahaha! Cersei, you crazy bitch I love you. Lady Mormont owning all those old lords was
These last two episodes are the best the show has ever been. I think the same guy directed eps 9 and 10. Too bad it'd be impossible for him to direct the rest of the series by himself. The music was incredible this episode, almost like they've been holding back. The wait for season 7 is going to be torture.

By the way, I guess we know why it's called King's Landing.

I was thinking the whole time, and especially when the running theme transitioned into Rains of Castamere at the end, how much I was loving the music and how it's smart touches like this that really make an episode and not lots of CGI. Just all-around great stuff and a fantastic end to a fantastic season.

That was a great finale. The entire opening sequence in King's Landing with the new music and the Hitchcockian buildup to the explosion is probably the best the show has ever been. The biggest gripe I've had this season has been the Cliff Notes feeling of the whole northern storyline where a lot of character motivations are unearned and you feel the hand of the writers struggling to check off the plot point boxes in the limited screen time they have with each character, which also made those scenes the least impactful in the finale. The music in the closing scene when it weaved in the themes of the different houses as we saw the banners on the ships was also awesome. The strength of the music might have been one of the main things propelling this episode forward with renewed energy.
Footnote: I don't really have a problem with the teleportation accusations so many people throw around (Varys in this episode); I just imagine that the events in different locations not necessarily happen at the same time and all characters have days, weeks, months where they eat, shit and sleep and nothing of importance happens which also suspends the disbelief with regards to the aging of the child actors.

it went really hard on ''female power'' but the coolest shit was that mormont girl showing jon snow what he can be...
him vs. evil queen Cersei has tons of potential
good show

I sincerely hope the story ends with Daenarys on the Iron Throne, Sansa ruling the north, Yara/Asha in the Iron Isles, what's her face that everyone hates in Dorne, Lyanna Mormont (who we will find out is Tormund's daughter) beyond the wall, Olenna in the reach, Meera in the neck, zombie Catelyn in the riverlands, Arya (after murdering Littlefinger and Robin/Robert Arryn and taking his face) in the vale, Brienne is leader of the queensguard and what the hell how about in a shocking twist we discover Ser Pounce is actually a girl and is named hand of the queen.
This all happens after Daenarys arrives, and instead of going to war, negotiates peace with the Others.
All the basement-dwelling MGTOW troglodytes won't be able to get their cheeto-dusted fingers tweeting rape threats to female cast members fast enough before their poor gravy-soaked hearts give out in anguish.
