I'm so bored this summer with TV. I think I might watch every Borg episode from the 3 Star Trek series that had them, plus First Contact.

The Borg aren't as cool a villain as I remember. Just a bunch of cyborg zombie humanoid ants, essentially. Not malevolent like the Daleks or such. Hit a logistics snag now. I want to watch all the Borg stuff ever, but Seven on Star Trek Voyager technically means every episode now is a Borg episode. It's a good thing my older self finds her attractive now, as back in the day I didn't find her masto batin-able.

And dude, the alien stuff was a direct homage to The Man Who Wasn't There.
And was alluded to through the entire fucking season.
The "physical" encounters represented a sort of come to jesus moment, that either meant death or salvation.

Hope season 3 revolves around Hanzee/Tripoli.

Or could be totally literal - he's just trying to come up with a universal language, and nothing more.

Gomorrah - this Italian show finally debuts in the US on wednesday on Sundance. IMO it may be the best show on tv right now. you will have to read subtitles but it is a story about the mob controlled drug trade in parts of Italy. Somewhat could be compared to the Sopranos meets the wire.

After a couple episodes in, I can confidently say Vice Principals is better then Eastbound & Down.

I dunno if I'd go that far. Seasons one and four of Eastbound and Down were amazing. Vice Principals has been really funny so far though. Walton Goggins is fucking great in this.

Atlanta is the funniest show on tv.

It's slow and brooding but when action kicks off, it's really sloppy and violent. If you ever watched Justified, Dewey Crowe plays an amazing gay hitman.

Checked out Atlanta on your recommendation and at first I thought "Ehhhhh...." but just got done watching all 5 episodes. I didn't expect it to this weird and smart at the same time. From the last episode: "You can't shoot a dog in here."
