Regarding the song, vocalist Ivan Moody told Revolver magazine, "This one is about the rumors and gossip that go on everywhere — especially online. It's comical to see how much crazy, ill-informed shit people will post as news and when they're trolling around message boards. In today's day and age, speculation and bad info can just fly around the Internet and catch fire — even when it’s completely false and unfounded. Funny shit."

Their new video...and it just gets worse. :fp:

All I'm going to say is it starts out with the singer punching the director of the video for wanting "more attitude", and ends with the band flying an airplane into a mountain. The plane explodes, but the band is somehow able to parachute to safety while holding girls in their arms, drinking beers, and giving the middle finger to...I guess the sky?

haha, it sounds like Andrew WK. Never mind the sub-Bam Margera video with the supercars/mansions/chicks that are 110% theirs and totally not rented at all.

this song actually needs to exist - if you aren't going to do it alone (I know you have the power) let me know and I'll program drums, play whatever instrumentation, host on youtube, etc

hahaha American Capitalist: Japanese bonus track

I would fucking LOVE to troll these assholes on the grand scale
vocals and obligatory guitar solo are the two things I can't do with any competence, so if you (or anyone else) wants to step up I'll try and get a little recording done soon.

I could do the vocals half-decently, I think, especially since the trolling is goal #1 and if it's a bit bad, that's still OK. If anyone one else wants to do this - SPEAK UP - I don't think I'm the best for the job but I'll get it done for sure. I could throw the solo together too I guess... I'm having a hard time seeing why you can't do this but yeah I could wing that.

"Enough to Fight" for song title? I don't think the title itself should scream parody...

i'm now thoroughly convinced these bubbleheads are the bounce metal equivalent of Steel Panther. that's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

As I was sitting outside last night smoking a bowl, a neighbor's chihuahua wouldn't stop yapping at any and everything that moved. I realized then that chihuahuas are the Five Finger Death Punch of the animal kingdom.

You know...a five finger death punch right to it's face would have shut that little chihuahua up. But I guess you were too stoned to do what needed to be done?

Chihuahua was on the top floor balcony. I live on the ground floor. I'm sure the owner would take kindly to hearing a knock at their door followed by "Excuse me, I'm here to punch your fucking asshole dog in the face until it dies." I guess if I had a bazooka that shot mini-chainsaws, that would work a hell of a lot better, right?

You could have just burst through the guy's front door and given five finger death punches to every living thing inside, including his house-plants. Then you wouldn't need anybody's permission to do what was necessary, because they'll all be dead.

I like the little neck scar. He probably tells people it's from a brutal knife fight he lived through in the hard side of town when in reality it's probably a finger nail mark from an angry skank.

These guys really are the best for interviews.

Ultimate-Guitar.com: What is your take on the album's title? "American Capitalist"?

Hook: First of all, we like to pick titles that are slightly risky. We don't like things that are safe, and we don't like things that are risk-free. The title of "War Is The Answer" made everyone perk up and scratch their heads, and think "What are these guys trying to say? War is the answer?" That's an awesome, bold thing to say. "Why did they decide to say that?" Everybody has a different definition of a capitalist. The word "capitalist" is taken from capitalizing things. People that are capitalists are — and this is for your reading audience — people that take advantage of opportunities, opportunists. They work hard to make sure that they can extract the most out of their given situation. Successful people, driven people, motivated people, competitive people. When we use the phrase "American capitalist," it really explains who we are and what our personalities are. We don't just like to fuck around; we wanna divide and conquer every step of the way, because we want success and we don't really hide that. We wear that on our sleeves, and anybody who's interested in that type of mentality, or anyone who's interested in pushing themselves a little harder, we'd suggest for them to come onboard. When you fight for something and you get it, it's really the best feeling out there and that's capitalizing on a given situation. That's why we called the album "American Capitalist", because we want everyone to realize that success isn't a negative thing. Success is a positive thing. I hope that I have fuckloads of money, and then I can have fuckloads of freedom and options and security, and all the things that we all want. American capitalists.

I'm imaging this record being used as background music for a six sigma training video.

i can say without any reservation that this was the single dumbest conversation i've ever heard. i'd have gotten more out of listening to two junkies discussing where to get their next fix.
