This is Shellac's only good record.

I think a lot of Shellac fans like "Prayer To God" (and therefore give 1000 Hurts a pass even though it might have three good songs on it) because they can vicariously wish harm on a woman who cheated on them when most of them would probably just end up traumatized and impotent. Also, most girls who date guys who like Shellac are chubby and have boring, shortish hair and would have trouble finding someone else desperate and awkward enough to fuck them.
