I think there's some trick for safely stockpiling souls by buying dung pies and later feeding them to the sea monsters for a 100% return.

leave your summon sign at the bonfire before the ice caves and you can farm so many souls on runs defeating Seath

i invaded and did some pvp and it was fun the couple times it was just one on one, but almost every time it was a group of three who would just absolutely steamroll me

i did try leaving my summon sign a few times but no one ever picked it up :(

i'm sure the online is fun or whatever, i'm just saying it's totally possible to play and enjoy the game to a ridiculous degree without it.

cue spacehamster with something boring :wank:

Doesn't change the fact that saying the online is somehow irrelevant to enjoying DeS is a weird opinion, and Riley has many weird opinions about DS. This isn't a pissing contest between the two games. It's kind of cute that he remembers exactly how much DkS I've played, though.

wat

I don't keep track of Riley's gaming exploits.

Although granted, his exploits are many, and mine are few. So maybe, yeah.

Anyway, this:
possible to play and enjoy the game to a ridiculous degree without it.
is true, of course. But it's better with it.

Um, no...
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
...that's a supposed to lose fight, but there's a second encounter with Seath later that's not too hard.

Unless you want to cut off his tail, that is. Grumblegrumble.
