for better or worse i think the increasing amount of customization and progression that people expect from triple a shooter would make a ww1 game just silly and nonsensical looking at this point (in a bad way). how would vehicle combat be?

The air campaign would have some potential, but the main slog of it was just grinding in muddy trenches - Not very exciting.

whatever, I guess if the class system is heavily refined to a razors edge and the gun play is real precise I can see how the constant noise of indirect fire weapons and gadgets gets minimized. that'd be a good thing
