yeah well when you are like me and buy ulterior and jouhou as soon as they come out and love them, and then do the same thing for this turd, it's very disappointing.

Re: Albums that were seriously disappointing...
The more I think about it there have been quite a few over the years:
Probably the biggest let down at the time, or even ever
Unbelievably hyped to no fucking end, to this day even...
It eventually grew on me to an extent, but I still don't understand why so many people lost their fucking shit when this hit the shelves. I was working at a record store at the time and when we played the record I thought people's over-enthused reactions were part of an elaborate candid camera prank, on me.
And, well, yeah

you'd need more than a kicked in head from your step-mum pounding on it all day long to properly recall such a memory without your old friend mike to remind you of what really happened...

I was real disappointed with Times of Grace at the time, but came to like it later. Yeah, I don't really ever listen to any albums that came after it.

This actually got me stoked on them again, the self-titled before it didn't do much for me.The Arsonist wrote:
Seconded on the Neurosis, although i also have grown to dig it more now. Too bad i traded my LP version away years ago.
My answers are every From Ashes Rise record after the first 7" on Clean Plate (sorry Johnny) and this:
(and i actually dug "Fear, Emptiness, Despair" when it came out)
Incalculably stupid, i trust you'll agree.

A-fucking-men. With a closing track like Fight The Power, I thought Fear Of A Black Planet was the beginning of a rap dynasty. Sadly, it was all downhill from there. To be honest, it was all downhill after ITANOMTHUB.right over there wrote:
