It eventually grew on me to an extent, but I still don't understand why so many people lost their fucking shit when this hit the shelves. I was working at a record store at the time and when we played the record I thought people's over-enthused reactions were part of an elaborate candid camera prank, on me.



And, well, yeah

I like all of those albums, ESPECIALLY that Orchid.

It's difficult for me to even look at that cover these days without feeling nauseated. They had no idea what they were starting...

Opinions are just opinions, etc. ...this is far and away their best album.

It's also my favorite but only by a very small margin. For the most part I like all the albums equally because all of them have their own unique charm. Even SOTS is great! Im not gonna dismiss really well written songs with great guitar riffs simply because it's their most popular and most accessible album.
