I used to think so too, but it really depends on what the treatment is. There are different combinations of chemo drugs, and the one I was getting doesn't cause hair loss that often. However, it does cause lots of other side effects. Nausea and fatigue are the most frequent side effects, and usually effect me for about a week after getting chemo. I also get painful rashes on my back, that bites. The worst though is nerve damage from one of my chemo drugs, Oxyplatin. My hands and feet are stiff and painful, and are very sensitive to the cold. I can't touch things that are in my freezer, it feels like getting an electrical shock, nor can I walk around my apartment barefoot. That used to just last a week, but it gets worse every treatment, and now it's a constant issue. It could take months or even years for it t go away, and it's a possibility it'll never go away. I'm glad I don't live somewhere like Rochester anymore, that kind of cold would suuuuuuuuck.

So I finished chemo back in January, and last week had a CT scan, and as of now I am officially cancer free! It was a real shitty year, but I'm through with it and hopefully I can keep it from happening again. Now I just have to recover from all the chemo, and I'll be as good as new. Maybe even better since I've changed my diet and have started exercising daily. So yeah, life. Back at it.

Incidentally, I also got a CT scan last week and also don't have cancer. So that's, like, two of us!
