I gotta say, though, ten beers a day is definitely way too much and the guy certainly looks the part, but I'm a bit surprised that it's so much that his doctor's worried about him going cold turkey.

Doesn't E--13's job involve some amount of driving? Alcohol withdrawal carries with it a huge risk of seizures, and 10 beers/day is a level where the risk of systemic withdrawal symptoms is highly probable if not certain
