When I had dumb kid taste palate I liked both the nog and the shamerock shakes. When there were no seasonals, I’d rotate between chocolate and vanilla. Strawberry shake can go fuck itself. Dip my fries in all of them.

Rational anger is that I’m reminiscing about McD’s and I’m tempted to go get a small shake and small fries. Seriously don’t think I’ve done that shit in at least 35 years….

james my fond memories were cranked into overdrive ever since - just pre-pandemic - I was in australia and for whatever reason this bar & grill had a plant-based big mac imitation/tribute on the menu... I had to order it. it was FUCKING AWESOME. I think about that non-stop. I fucking love junk food and... when some semi-competent place strives for the same sensation, but does it using better ingredients... it's euphoric.

I can't remember if I posted about this before, but my friends and I would entertain ourselves by going to mcdonalds and ordering all the shit that NO LONGER EXISTED (at the moment), like:
medium fries
barq root beer
shamrock shake
pepperoni pizza
cherry pie
mcdlt meal... dino-sized
mcrib
etc

this was the most hilarious shit at the time, and if youtube existed we would have been gods

one time we pulled this stunt via drive through during the BREAKFAST rush (like... we waited in a very long line just to place our stupid impossible order) and after we finished the order, they didn't say anything, which was out of the ordinary - usually the person would just laugh and tell us they didn't have those items. after a minute or so - with us just sitting in the big queue - the manager (a wiry black dude wearing a track suit... a mcdonalds track suit?) physically came out to our car and unloaded an insane tirade. we were completely shocked hahaha...
