I think the all-digital characters seem out of place whether they're human or not. that PORTIONS guy and the orange gremlin in TFA were just as distracting as digital tarkin ... leia was worse for sure

seeing tarkin in non-ultra-res really helps sell it. I assume we'll get a digital leia in IX?

Re-watched TFA the other day, and I really have to say it holds up well. I actually liked it better the second time around. I think it's mostly because once you get past the fact that this is omg the first of the new Star Wars movies and all that, it's just a well put together movie and that's that. I still think the not-Death Star was unnecessary, but it doesn't appear out of nowhere to the extent that it appeared to me the first time I watched it, the parts I remember dragging actually didn't, the dialogue's good, the acting's solid, I dunno. Works for me.

I felt the same way about the 2009 Star Trek and TFA. It was fun to watch the first time, but the story is weak and I was bored on repeat viewings, and will probably continue to be bored unless there is a long time between viewings.

Whoops, I meant that I felt the same way about two movies by JJ Abrams: TFA and Star Wars. Sorry I was not clear and I know that Riley hates me and preys upon all typoes.

I love you Kevin don't front like that's news to you

But Mike is saying after all the glitz wore off he was left with a pretty good story and you're saying when the glitz wore off you were left with a shitty story

Those are differents

its good!

its definitely on the PG-13 end of things. the show has lots of fan service, most of it actually works since the story is a little more involved than any of the other prequel material (other than The Clone Wars series, which I would also recommend).

both shows basically take everything good about that part of the Star Wars story and takes it someplace else and makes it better.

its animation, give it a shot, if it still looks like shit to you after 4 or five episodes , then whatever.

I was sleep deprived and was trying to disagree with my friend Mike about the story of TFA. Looks like I only typed out about half of my thoughts. Working the occasional 12 hour night shift is bad, but not as bad as TFA's story, which was okay. I liked the characters and the comedy but
