Kids have finally gotten into Star Wars, so that means I had to watch the prequels again. You can grin and bare it for awhile, you know, cover your hears during midichlorian count talk, or just kind of turn off during Jar Jar type nonsense, but when it just sneaks up on you and hits you over the head with it's "I'll do a spin, that's a good trick", "I hate sand" and "I have the high ground" dialogue ever thing just comes crashing down. But this is still okay, they want to watch that friggin' animated movie with the gay Jabba the hut character and the subsequent cartoon series with me next. Oh no.

I'm not sure which animated series that is, but Rebels is actually pretty watchable if it's that one. Much less awful than the prequels, which are without a doubt among the absolute worst movies I've ever seen. They're The Room with big budgets and less amusement.

Nevermind, just look it up and that second Clone Wars (which is the first) is not canon.

The Clone Wars cartoon from 2008 is legitimately good. I never made it too far through, didn't have any interest in investing that much time - it's good enough though, I will say, that after just one season I actually began to understand the plot of the prequels, and see potential and excitement in the world they created.

If I had to watch them though, like because kids/family just decided that that's what was next for me, I'd be excited.

Watched the 2003 Clone Wars animated film last night. By all means I should be saying this is worse than the prequels, but it's not. I guess being a cartoon it gets away with shit live action can't. Most important is Anakan is actually a likable competent goddamn adult, and not a whiney moody eye'd bitch. It's like the creators of the film just went behind Lucas's back and decided to remake Anakin in an image more suited to what they though would be the progression to Vader, instead of Lucas's vision which was really a progression to CP3O. The art style, though, is terrible.

after watching stupid trailer for stupid movie im fine with Luke being 21st century Yoda.

i'm gonna be honest and say a lot of the trailer annoyed me, especially the prequel-lookin space battle shit and the dumb fishrabbit

If he spends most of the movie acting the way he does in the trailer I think I can see why Hamill apparently isn't a fan of what the new writers did with the character.

Anyway, at this point I'm just kind of calmly looking forward to this. When I watched TFA a second time, I actually liked it better than the first time around, and while I haven't re-watched Rogue One yet, I still think it's an actual good movie as opposed to just a serviceable Star Wars vehicle, so I have no reason to expect that this one won't be good.

Kids finished Clone Wars. Didn’t watch too much myself but it did get better and better as it went.

They’ve been watching Rebels now, that’s even better. I geeked out when I recognized Buffy’s & Tom Baker’s voice. Now if they can only get Shatner to do a voice.
