One time in college this guy dressed up in his larping outfit, including his weapon. I guess he was going to some larping event in the next town over. The weapon was a sword covered in foam and duct tape. He asked me if he could hit me with it. For some reason I said yes. He swung rather forcefully hitting me in the shoulder. It actually hurt quite a bit. I told him to get the fuck away from me, and he starred at me with the ultimate never-been-laid m'lady grin. Like he was impressed at himself with his larping weapon and probably thought I was surprised that larping would hurt. I just assume that's how all larpers are....and it's probably true.

So young and so bitter (27 minutes in). I'm a good looking guy so I've never found it hard to get dates, but I'm quite short (5'6" on a good day), which meant I was often second choice for girls I wanted to go out with when I was younger. I remember a time in my early twenties, before I had my shit together, there was one woman in particular I was friends with and wanted a relationship with, who strung me along for about a year, thinking she'd have someone to fall back on if she couldn't get a hunkier guy. I was quite bitter for a while, and women could sense that... they will sense it with these young MRAs too, I think, which is unfortunate because as the years go by it becomes a slippery slope and the negativity becomes hard to break. Luckily for me, I have the sort of personality a lot of women like; I'm naturally confident and easy-going and I don't take life as seriously as these guys, so it wasn't long before an attractive older woman made the effort with me and I ended up in a fantastic relationship.

one time in high school I was trying to get in good with this ultra-beautiful chick, and I was doing endless ultra-lame stuff like reporting all sorts of gossip to her (regarding her ex, who was a total jock-type guy). one time I overheard this INCREDIBLE story about how he'd hooked up with whichever chick, and then I immediately told my crush about this. long story short, jock ex guy had completely invented that whole story with the intent of revealing me as a weasel, and it worked exactly as he'd planned. that experience is kind of haunting... still hos-before-bros forever, though
