can I get a ruling on "stinger"? #8 here:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/stinger
"A scene shown on films or television shows after the credits."
my girlfriend claims I am "trying to sound cool" when I use it in this context

I would definitely never, ever say it in that context and would roll my eyes if I heard someone else say it, but I don't think it qualifies simply because I've never heard it before

her never having heard it before is why she hates it so much
I think I only started saying it after my obnoxious brother-in-law/friend (EE!) drove it into the ground, so I guess that aura persists and I should accept that

That's what that part of a feature is called.
It does sound gross, but what's your alternative - "That post-credits sequence"?

I'm pretty safe from being bothered by too much of these examples since I only use IG-- and if I see it there it's only because I'm scrolling through the explore feed and every imaginable meme is using them. I've used "extra" (effort, not cute) and "tryna" on and off, and sparingly, for most of my life. I thought "tryna" was just a local or FL thing and "extra" was basically my fetch, so imagine my surprise when it caught on nearly two decades later.
Pro v and af abbreviations, too. I even say v out loud when I'm talking to my cats, which I'm sure would drive you grumps absolutely bonkers, "you're a v bad kitty, you dummy"
Bunch of grumpy af dudes in here...
