when you do an album like 'bullhead' you have reached the logical conclusion and all subsequent albums have been varying degrees of exploration which is fine…..but….... they will never top that one. i just mentioned 'stoner witch' for the fact that it was the last melvins album i was compelled to buy just because it was the melvins.
maybe i'll reinvestigate but the last melvins album i listened to was 'a senile animal' and it just bummed me out.

i just listened to that one about an hour ago.
that whole trilogy thing they did just seemed like a self indulgent jack off fest.
i will say that 'the maggot' is the best one of the three.
listening to 'hostile ambient takeover' and i'm farting a lot.

It is short and great.
I haven't even listened to Hostile Ambient Takeover. Doesn't matter. They're still good enough to produce something enjoyable now and then, but they just put out too much, so you don't really have to pay attention all the time. That said I still like their latest one.
