isn't the standard for most airlines' coach or equivalent now just sky bus? actually the new american fleet is legit good, but recent flights on southwest and united are totally consistent with the "it's a commuter train that happens to go in the sky" approach to quality and comfort

She's nuts but also (cartoonishly) characterizes how you really can't get around the fact of flying being absolutely terrible, from the time you enter from the terminal to the time you get into your smelly Uber. I've never been but it doesn't seem like you're on cloud 9 in first class either for the amount your paying.

first class is for sure a bad deal dollars wise but holy shit is it an incomparable upgrade in terms of amenities

like, flying first class is actually semi-pleasurable on its own. seat is gigantic and comfy, food is actually good

Going to the bathroom probably still sucks.

i was camping in a crowded state park and some mexican people nextdoor asked if we could help them set up their tent. they had never camped before. after we helped, they kept bringing us plates of tamales and breakfast mimosas every 5 minutes.
I want to eat those leftover tamales now, but I'm not really sure how to re-heat them.

i dig like 99% of mexican food but good tamales are beyond the beyond

making them well is time consuming and annoying but fuck if that payoff is worth it
