the reality is that—like bernie did to clinton in the primaries, cynthia nixon has been doing to cuomo in the new york gubernatorial run-up, and DSA has done with the mainstream democrats—the pressure has to land on existing high-profile democrats from down-ticket success by progressives. progressives talk about things that actually help people, like job guarantees and higher wages—and the DCCC/DNC apparatus has no meaningful response to it, apart from craven pleas for "not alienating swing voters." otherwise, we'll end up with... fucking, who knows, michael bloomberg? the starbucks asshole?

I guess the constitution doesn’t explicitly state that you actually have a right to vote but I’m not a meatgrease level of genius so maybe I’m overreacting. eh, new hampshire's voting laws were oddball before that change anyhow. the exclusionary language is... i don't know the legislative history at all but it seems like it would be a compelling state interest to restrict the franchise to new hampshir...ites? new hampsherians? whatever, new hampshits. it's a little broad and that could lead to some targeting issues (invariably; republicans are swine), but that's a challenge that has to await an as-applied and not facial challenge
