this guy is legit nuts/genius...yeah, sure, he's celebrated by ''bad movie lovers''...but only to a point. they don't get it.

I fucking belly laughed watching his three movies...all on youtube unedited

creepy weird, funny stuff...an insane dude who makes movies on his own dime

it's drug stuff too...he's a psychedelics/new age dude

start with ''double down''

Saw 'em all, and I agree... there's a special kind of demented virtuosity going on in his movies. All of them are an experience best shared with friends, but even solo viewing brings the side splits.

I watched Pass Thru - I think this is more preachy & sanctimonious than he's ever been. felt pretty redundant with I am Here... Now, but I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much. I've seen his other three movies as ~30 min supercuts, so maybe I'm just shocked by having to sit through this one in real time.

there's one absolutely incredible moment where they're in a mansion via green screen'd backgrounds, and there's a cut where the characters change but the background remains completely unperturbed. totally uncanny.

I haven't seen any of his movies all the way through, but these ~30 minute edits by youtube user danzigisforever have made me laugh harder than just about anything this year - highly recommended!

super stoked for his next movie, seems to be filled with more cyber-jesus condescension
and here's the PASS THRU super cut

I'm with you, Ross - Pass Thru was pretty bad. It felt almost self-conscious, as if he had wiseau'd himself. But his craziness and inspiration was always spiritual and driven, and all of his interactions with the public remain consistent in their strangeness. I'm willing to give the new one a chance. The best thing about Breen movies is watching them in a good mood and catching subtle things that remind you of the rivers of blood and crazy New Age diamonds cascading through his mind

I just saw the new one tonight in a theater - it's definitely better than Pass Thru. the entertainment came from compositing and SFX more than insane/awkward dialogue/scenarios, so it's not his best movie.

early on I was convinced that he was going to make the majority of the movie by photoshopping himself into stock video footage, which would be goddamned incredible, but it took a turn and was instead mostly at some community college.

there's one moment where an empty picture frame is filled up with a woman who was painted to look like an oil painting or something, and she was moving around and it was legitimately captivating. I think the cool part might have been stock footage, so only partial credit to breen, though.

the audience was pretty fun except for the three dudes who needed to rein in their "jokes"
