1.7 on Seasons but I think I can clean it up and take it to the next level

This Shinmani dude has the #1 spot on all the Slayer tunes

Edit 1.9 and I got jewed bad a couple of times

Edit 2 2.16, 7th place

Gotta get in that top five now

Looking at the scores I feel like I can realistically get to 4th, that's only another 150k. The top 3 look almost untouchable though

War Ensemble is a cunt of a song. Slayer string skipping riffs are always pretty unrelenting - Altar of Sacrifice is a cracker for that.

I haven't even really had a go at the other Slayer dl packs, I had a decent score on Angel of Death but I haven't really nada
a go at SoH or Reign In Blood yet.

Bill - never too late mate, get on it.

... came here to post that I was pretty happy with myself for ranking 3rd on Dancing in the Moonlight lead (out of like 16).... :?
riley-o wrote:I was really disinterested in playing this mode as I hate it when it cuts you off in the middle of a song with three strikes, but I think that should only really happen if you don't know the song well enough, which is actually fair. I've been having a lot of fun playing it now and it's making me clean up a few areas where I'll let sloppiness slide because I HATE going from a 47x multiplier to a 25x :x :x

yeah, this mode makes me want to clean up those parts that I fuck up EVERY TIME for sure, partially because of that jarring failure noise when you make a mistake. is there a way to turn that off btw?

the other night I failed Round and Round lead in the last FIVE SECONDS 4-5 times :x

You can't in the master mode score attack.

It really does drive me mental dropping to 25, which is weired when you get to 99 and then go to 50 and it's like whatevs

feel kinda conflicted about this because I hate the guy, but.... Stranglehold is one of the best goddamn DLC tracks I've bought in a long time. I don't know of any other really long jam-like tracks in Rocksmith. almost an essential buy IMO

Been playing bass a bunch lately, and I'm just killing it. Is it just because bass players don't write complex shit generally ? I love when I get a song that's like, SURPRISE this song's incredibly difficult !! and I had no idea based on listening to it. Who knew fuckin Space Oddity was just bass madness ?

Yeah getting a real bass is key. The hardest part is not having a clue where you are on a neck that's a foot longer.

Dang, I want to play a game where you play space oddity on the bass.

Dude it's absurd.

If you already have a bass you can get the game for your computer and play it. It's pretty cheap now too.

you doing picks or fingers? I've thought about getting a cheap bass but whenever I try finger style it's laughable, and using a pick just doesn't seem right to me. Do they have decent lessons around finger techniques?

Pick only for sure. Can't play with my fingers to save my life.

Haven't had much time for a thrash with 4 month old baby in the house last night - productive night - got master records on PS4 for these 4 and top 5'd a couple more.

I gotta get Aces High record back - 2 mistakes in the same riff got me in 3rd...

... wait, just noticed you played on Master. shit. I've got no chance.

Downloaded a few SRV tracks even though I don't like his music that much, just to have some hard lead stuff to play... mission accomplished. made me feel like total garbage, in a "throw down my guitar and don't pick it up for a month" kind of way :(
