Should I bother with that last mini-season they had? Totally ignored it. Also the second film, never saw that either. I don't know, I really don't care anymore, but I need something to watch late at night.

The new season picks up where the mini-season left off (which ended with a cliffhanger... the resolution of which may piss you off). Like the mini season, I'm guessing that this new season's monster-of-the-week episodes will be far better than the mythology episodes, if only because that mythology is getting more and more convoluted as it tumbles down the conspiracy hole.

And it doesn't help that a certain shadowy villain is moving into the realm of cartoonish super-villainy.

That was the least coherent thing I've ever seen on television. I have to assume that the script was written by a computer. I'm fucking shocked. It gave me the same nauseous psychological sensation I get when I watch anime.

the flashbacks were nice.

also, Carl's being blown up by a fucking missile wounds/scars only existing in Scully's vision.

bit overstuffed, but actually felt more like the X-Files than anything else THE REVIVAL so far.

The episode with the hallucinogenic fungus that puts you into an illusionary matrix of satisfaction while it dissolves you was one of the few things on network TV that creeped me out.

The "Soul Eater" episode I find very depressing.
