You're not even good at keeping up with Internet news from less than two weeks ago. FFS.
Does it even matter anymore?
Dummy: Clearly, 'the numbers' show that Sweden did the right thing.
Adult: I'm looking at 'the numbers' relative to other Scandinavian nations and they don't seem to track with your claim.
Dummy: Lol, you believe 'the numbers' aren't part of a grand conspiracy?
I liked back in the good old days, when dumb people had the general sense that they were dumb and were appropriately deferential.

ACEP-AAEM Joint Statement on Physician Misinformation
The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) jointly and emphatically condemn the recent opinions released by Dr. Daniel Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi. These reckless and untested musings do not speak for medical societies and are inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19. As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.
COVID-19 misinformation is widespread and dangerous. Members of ACEP and AAEM are first-hand witnesses to the human toll that COVID-19 is taking on our communities. ACEP and AAEM strongly advise against using any statements of Drs. Erickson and Massihi as a basis for policy and decision making.

It’s hard to keep up with information changing so rapidly but from my understanding this disease is at least twice as contagious as the flu. Which is actually worse than that sounds because that means every infection cycle is exponentially larger than the last. So even if this disease was no more lethal than than flu like some dipshits are claiming it would still kill far more people just from the sheer number of those being infected being potentially greater. Or am I missing something.

you know what's really wild? these "high seroprevalence" people are saying that - AT MOST - 5% of people have been infected. and that's somehow justification for opening things back up. even if it's grown to 10% by then, that's associated with over 50,000 dead. so people are giddy about just letting that number ramp up to over half a million dead people as quickly as possible? open to epidemiology pro-tips on this front ofc
it seems like half the people are pissed that shutdown is ending too soon, and half think it's ending too quickly. in the SF area, anyway, I think the pace is juuuuust right! although the short list of our opening-soon activities includes "flea markets" which is a bit of a head-scratcher

isn't the holocaust post saying it's NOT the same?
edit: oh jesus, the original said "not the same" - she feels the need to refute that
