I saw them on my honeymoon. Someone should have shot the soundman.

My best friend got me a copy of The Courtauld talks for this past Christmas.

I used to correspond with Paul Raven, till he croaked from too much coke. Total dickhead, but all sorts of fun. Used to describe himself as "guitarded"

Some magazine, probably around the time "Millennium" came out: "So Jaz, does it bother you that there are so many bands that are clearly influenced by Killing Joke, but far more successful than you?"

Jaz: "Not really. I mean, imagine if they'd been influenced by U2 instead. How terrible would that be?"

I will never not love Killing Joke.

I did, and I like it, though haven’t given it a full listen yet. Honestly, I only seem to get to hear music driving the kids to and from school or trips to the supermarket.

Anyhow, to be completely honest again, modern metal does nothing for me and certainly modern rock is dead. So, my mind somehow broke things down and decided I should get into Industrial, especially since I mostly ignored it growing up. Pandemonium has really put the idea I need to catch up the genre, in my head. NIN is something I know all to well, but even Ministry is a band I couldn’t pick out of a line up. So, thanks Killing Joke, you may have haves my music listening life.

No, man, they're called graphic novels, it makes perfect sense because like we call movies recorded plays as well, right.

I hate that term, but I'm pretty sure Will Eisner coined it, and I'm not entirely comfortable saying I know better than Will Eisner.

If Barnes and Nobles calls it a graphic novel, then it’s a graphic novel. It’s a self contained story, not a collection of individual issues, anyway.

Self-contained story and collection of individual issues aren't mutually exclusive categories... It doesn't really matter anyway, the term graphic novel was/ is a marketing gimmick so bourgeois fucks who are too clueless to understand that comics, like film, can be fantastic literature, will buy them. Eisner came up with the term for exactly that reason. It serves its purpose, so it's good for the medium I guess, but it's still undeniably fucking stupid.

I actually have a soft spot in my musical heart for Democracy. It just happened to come out at a weird point in my life and I still have vivid memories of the first time I heard it.

Holy shit! I looked up that album and I remember for a fact my roommate in college had that. I remember the album cover. I can’t say if he ever played it when I was around, but I know that cover. I’ll have to acquire that now, just because

If originally having been published in serialized form makes a book not a novel, that excludes a whole lot of novels from being novels. This distinction is pants-on-head retarded. I know it's the conventional wisdom and the categorization that most people have sort of accepted, but that doesn't make it any less dumb.

Too much energy around here worrying about what I called a comic book. Coke, Soda, Sugar Water, Pop… you get the idea. I’ll start calling the motherfucker illustrated Novellas if you don’t calm down.

I really like this Pandemonium album.

If you disagree with anything The Bill says, even if it's wrong and dumb, it clearly means you're hysteric and probably on your period :wank:

Well played, sir. But the German word you're looking for is "Klugscheißer", and I wear that like a badge of honor.
