two of my uncles were in a band called Decimator around 1990 and I finally transferred their six-track demo tape to MP3. I didn't have the gear to do this properly, so it sounds far from ideal. if you want to hear some big-four-worship, dig in...
thanks for listening! I like it a lot and appreciate it more deeply since I've grown up and started listening to music with my brain and not just my balls. there's a lot of fun rhythmic stuff going on, and above-average solos. the fatal vision one will be with me forever

I like that latest video you posted. I found an old Warpsmasher t-shirt you sent me recently in my mom's attic. I played a couple of tracks on my college radio show back in 05-06 and you sent me a shirt.
This isn't actually my music but I did record it. Dude can make his own beats so I just did production production, which was actually a nightmare - I thought just editing a short rap EP would be the most fun possible job in the world. I cooked up some really cool interlude type material with samples and beats, into/outro, basically got to pretend I was making an old Jedi Mind Tricks album with zero pressure.
EQing, compressing and arranging someone elses material is very hard. I had no idea how accustomed I was to mixing my own shit from the ground up, as I go along. Had to learn a bunch of new stuff.
Everyone hated everything that I added, and then I had to take it all out. Bummer, but it's not my shit so no big deal. Then when we got the final master back, about 50% of it had been edited back in with no explanation. Absolutely bizarre.
All said and done though I'm very proud of the final product, took a lot of energy but people are responding to it very well so far. Officially releases on the 30th but preorders are clicking along healthy
Tapes look so dope. The guy who puts this shit together for us is amazing. Very facilitating and just genuinely passionate about everything. Feel lucky I hooked up with these guys.

From around 1998-2005 I made electronic music. Sure it sounds dated, but there might be someone that remembers that scene back then.
is that you on drums for lord mantis? were you touring as the drummer for abigail williams? I thought that guy was the drummer ..

Nope. Bill plays drums. Charlie was in Lord Mantis and plays drums for Abigail Williams. He's singing for Cobalt now. Bill has been in the band the entire time. I'm just helping out on guitar recently.
my latest song - none of these will apparently ever be truly done but this one is the closest. it's the first time I re-amped guitars and it worked pretty well; not too technically difficult and it's a much improved tone vs. simulated distortion. I had my uncle help with mixing (he was NOT happy about me having a "center" guitar in addition to L&R ). there's a lot of attempted clever (in reality: overwrought!) stuff going on here but it still doesn't add up to much since I don't have any intuition or skill for movement. that's my big goal for the next song...
