I don't think it's as simple as all this "Roadhouse" or "Robocop" is better nonsense. We're talking about three tits gentlemen; not simply three tits but three tits, on the same woman, at the same time, all facing toward you. Now, I can't speak for anyone else, but that certainly makes this simple cab driver wish he had three hands.

And really, that's a few seconds of this movie. What about when there are eyes fucking bugging out all over the place while Arnold makes Arnold noises ?

I believe the real question for this thread is "When is a man not a man ?"
And of course the answer is "When a man tries to deny Total Recall."

two weeks.

TWO. WEEKS.

and based on a short story by one Philip K. Dick. Is there no end to this film's credentials ?!

Bah. Total Recall isn't even the best Arnold movie. I'll take Predator or Conan The Barbarian over it any day of the week. Both have better villains, too.

You can wish all you want that you had three hands. That's all you can do is wish. It only takes one to rip a man's throat out as Dalton so exquisitely proved.

Well now I wish I had thirteen hands so I could rip off your poser fingers and lame-ass thumbs (while continuing to grab three space-titties)

Michael Ironside. Ronny Cox. The only thing missing is Kurtwood Smith.

Conan the Barbarian is lame, Raw Deal is better.

And the only thing missing from Total Recall would be Richard Crenna.

I get so tired of people liking that stupid thing. Running Man was way better.

Would've been way better if it followed the short story with the short story ending - Arnold could have felt some twinge of guilt when it would have been inevitably banned following 9/11.
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
In the book, Arnold's character flys a jumbo into the Network building skyscraper, plus its not all WWE type hunters.
Conan is way brutal, there were probably at least 10+ tits in the same bowl of soup in the orgy room.

If we're talking Arnold movies, Predator runs away with it because it has Bill Duke. I know he's in Commando too, but his role is smaller and that film is stupid. Awesomely stupid, but still stupid.

I went looking at the wiki out of curiosity. It was originally goign to be directed by Cronenberg, and he wanted William Hurt to star... until a falling out with one of the writers (the non-Dan O'Bannon one) because he wanted to make it too much like the story and not enough of an action story. Holy shit.

Also: Dan O'Bannon rules. It's too bad he doesn't do film work these days. Alien? Total Recall? Return of the Living MOTHERFUCKING Dead? Rules.

So it's nice to hear (from our pals at Screenrant) that O'Bannon has just finished up a screenplay called THE PAIN CLINIC. Co-written with Donald Grail, it's ostensibly about a man who agrees to an "experimental" procedure to fix his bad back. But there's a little more to it than that. According to the attached director, Brett Hart (who's probably good and tired of your "Hitman" jokes, so stow 'em!), it's a "physiological thriller" reminiscent of MISERY, THE MARATHON MAN, ROSEMARY'S BABY, SECONDS and COMA.

If Total Recall is #1, True Lies is #2.
...and Last Action Hero is #3.

The number of innocent civilians that die in an action movie is usually a good indicator of quality. A LOT of innocent civilians die in Total Recall. See you at the party, Richter.

But yeah, Conan's better.

Marry me, fucker. I tried to watch CtB recently and realized it's the most boring Arnold movie ever.

No-one (that I haven't FOE'd) has mentioned Verhoeven!

The movie is really special because it's among the last of the all-out R-rated blockbuster action movies still featuring practical effects. It was released just before CGI and PG-13 became the norm, ushering an era of stupid flaccid filmmaking.

Movie fucking RULES.
