Carnivale is awesome. It's a bit slow going at first but stick with it, it's worth it.

Agreed. Also cut short like Deadwood, but Carnivale leaves way more shit unanswered.

I was totally into it when it was first airing, but I stopped after season 3 I think. That was the money train, right? Now is the perfect time to continue it, especially since the Wire got me back into the cop drama mindset. (I think I was watching NYPD Blue at the same time, and that horrible, soap opera bullshit ruined all cop dramas for me.)

7 is probably being generous. Really started to lose me at the "pills that age inmates" crap.

Why, because I didn't think it was flawless? Don't get me wrong, I think it was pretty excellent. I love the density and the characters are great, but it just didn't have that wow factor that I had built it up to be (I blame the internet). Also, it took me the entire year to finish the one season. A really great show will have me coming back or marathon running it, but that wasn't the case here. Still torrenting and looking forward to the other 4 seasons though.

The Shield is amazing, my favorite show of all time.

I like Burn Notice too, it's goofy but it's a good show.

I've been watching Scrubs for the first time. My cousin is really into it so I've been watching it in my down time. It's okay, not as great as he said it is but whatever. 5 out of 10.

Nah, I'm just ready to fight a motherfucker when it's not a 9 or a 10. I think each previous season gets better after you finish watching the next. You really see the characters develop across every season and it gives you a better appreciation of the earlier episodes.

But what a great, fitting ending. I'd be a broken man if it didn't end well but they pulled it off*. More of you guys should watch this show.

I have been putting off watching the final season because I can't come to grips with it being over. Absolutely love this show. A bad one to watch before bed if you already have trouble falling asleep.

I find Deadwood enthralling. We pretty much watched all of season 2 in 2 days. This weekend we're going to get season 3. It's sooooo good. I can hardly wait!

3 may have been my favorite. Like everyone else has said, really sad to see this one end so soon.

the only thing weird about watching The Shield now is some of the weird editing and stuff. like after watching the Wire, the Shield feels very much like "a tv show" if that makes any sense. i still love it but it's aging funny.

as for Oz, i think it actually got better as the show went on, which is a weird opinion, i know. i loved the last season, i think because all bets were even more off than they had been before. i think season 4 is when it went from a show that i liked to a show i loved, and i can't really explain why.

when i tried to watch the shield i started it directly after i finished the wire and that was my problem with it. it really kills the gritty cop atmosphere when i'm supposed to believe that a hard-nosed "does it his way" detective gets mad and starts saying "frickin" a lot

Sons of Anarchy Seasons 1-3 - 7/10 (pretty high on the cheese , but pretty addictive . Jax is the weak link.)
Pillars of the Earth - 7/10 (Not the massive letdown I was expecting after the amazing book.)
Dexter - Season 4 - 7.5/10 (Started slow but ended well)
Dexter Season 5 - 6/10 (Pretty ordinary . And the make up department needs to give Dexter some decent anti perspirant or some armpit pads , the guy has sweaty pits in amost every scene .
