can't stop thinking about that fucking record. I am aware the Dust Brothers have/had the tendency to throw a lot of disparate sounds into whatever they're producing but man if that album doesn't ever sound like a mean spirited paycheck. and it works!

last night:

id like to pretend this didn't lead me in the direction of Godflesh and Neurosis.

My first year of college I would often fall asleep to Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk. Something about the synth sounds on that would have a weirdly calming effect even with the blasting drums and riffs and screams. Anything atmospheric I tend to zone out on and fall asleep. Meshuggah's "I" is another one.

Yup, and Prometheus.
Also:
Weakling Dead As Dreams
Radiohead - Amnesiac and Kid A
I'm not sure I've ever heard the last few tracks on those albums.
Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

if smoking something or just tiring out, I think this might be the ultimate track: Kawabata Makoto Private Tapes #7: I Want You to Want Me

I got so calm to this when far fucking gone once, and since then it is always peaceful
