What do you consider their last good album? I have a fondness for the cheesy '80s stuff, but it's hit or miss, obviously.
I think their 70's material is unfuckwithable... but once they broke their "no synths" pledge it all went downhill. Depending on my mood I might acknowledge a soft spot for The Game, but Hot Space, etc. is a no-go.
Queen's shit was always so varied, though. It's not like there was a certain sound or formula they suddenly broke with.
And that Misfits thing, jesus. What a mess. In theory, Misfits doing 50s-60s covers should be an epic win, especially if they got Danzig on vocals...the reality, of course, not so much.

I cant understand how a metal fan would not like left hand path.

Whoa, GUY. Monotheist is a fantastic album. Did you really want Tom G Warrior shouting "Oooh!" and "Hey!" all over the place with forced simple riffs that would suck because they've all become proficient at playing music? If you did, then you probably like the last few Venom releases too. Monotheist a powerful, moving, dark, and twisted album that will hopefully be carried forward with Tryptikon.

Yeah, it's called "fuckin brutality"...I guess you've never heard of it before....
Some good songs on here, but also some very poor ones and some very poorly re-interpreted ones. Coil fans loved this shit and I get why. "Fire of the Mind" and "Going Up" are great songs, but the re-interpreted stuff is crap. I don't need another version of Teenage Lightning, and the original mixes of "Cold Cell" and "A.Y.O.R." were excellent. Much prefer everything Christopherson's been involved in since, especially the SoiSong records.

i've always liked Prometheus even more than IX. i'm satisfied that its "their" swansong album though i feel like ihsahn wrote so much of the new material that samoth just put all his creative energy towards Zyklon and left the rest of the work to ihsahn.
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007
as a musical album, Reinkaos is pure shit...as a conceptual document of where dude was...its perfect...passable metal with some of the most intricate occult themes ever put on record...remember...this guy KILLED someone after being satanic...if you view it, lyrics in hand, as his final statement...its different

Well, I just spent the last 5-10 minutes of my life watching that snipe over and over. Wouldn't have had it any other way..

well that's the fecal icing on the sewage cake. other blunders to consider:
production
song writing
lyrics (somehow even MORE pretentious than their other stuff)
production
artwork/layout
arrangements
did i mention production?
also keep in mind this is coming from a pretty die hard orchid fan
to be fair every time i've gone back to it it's been less and less painful to get through, but, seriously...still gets a big 'do not want' stamp from me even 8 years later

If you go to MDF - I'm going to walk right up to you and sock you in the mouth.
You really don't think that's a disappointing album to shut the door on your band with?
There's some good songs on there, but everything that made Jawbreaker great is missing. Blake's trademark raspy vocals, the raw production, the energy... I don't think it sucks, but it is absolutely a disappointing swansong album.
