I've tried all that stuff Bored. Just doesn't take. I'm sure some day it'll all just click, or if I literally spend an hour a day strumming three notes over and over. It def seems like something that gets way easier once the initial difficulties are overcome.

With movements like this you have to practice really slow at first. Speed is simply the same movements with the pause between each cut down. If you go too fast too soon what you're actually doing is practicing the wrong movements. It takes your brain a little while to learn, then it's just automatic. You'll wake up and all of a sudden you'll be able to do it.
