fook mi what an excellent show. Every episode has been better than the one before. I'd never have thought that they'd dare to show such copious amounts of gore and titties...

well shit, I don't remember any of that other than Loras' reaction after what happened to Renly in Clash of Kings.
tbqh imho, even though i've read it twice (and will be starting again soon), there's only one thing out of the entire fucking thing that I can recall about A Feast For Crows.
I guess loudly slurped cocks beat out subtly any day.
I don't think most people would have had such a problem with book 4 had the release dates between the two concurrent novels been much closer. I read book 3 and 4 as they were originally released so having to wait 11 years to find out what happened to Tyrion, Jon, Dany, Bran, etc. dulls the shine of the story.
Did anyone do that "let's see how well the show is doing" marketing ploy and register on HBO.com for the advance screening of next week's episode? Was it worth it?
What happened with blondie and the molten gold last night was almost anti-climatic for me considering what a fucking loud-mouthed ponce he's been. I mean, they paint him as so fucking unlikable and so amazingly stupid that you were just waiting for him to get fucked badly.
yeah... i agree with this somewhat. in the novel the build up to that moment is glorious though, and it's perfectly timed. tv time constraint, blah, blah... while not perfect it still worked beautifully.
Yeah, I'm kind of nitpicking. I really like the show. But it was two weeks ago that I said to myself after his latest ill-advised childish outburst, "Would they just fucking kill him already?". I guess what got me about him as a character is that the show (and therefore, I'm guessing, the books) have some really deep, great characters. Tyrion is a great examples. He's so fucking likable but at the same time not a really a good guy all-together. So I guess I'm just slightly shocked that a story-line that can do complex characters so well chose to saddle us with a truly unsympathetic caricature like blondie. From the start he's been as 2 dimensional as the rich kid bully in an 80s teen movie.
I didn't find him that one-dimensional, but it's entirely possible I superimposed info from the book on the show, thus seeing things that weren't actually there. Anyway, he's definitely characterised as an arrogant asshole, but
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
the scene where he's in the bathtub with the whore gives you a good feeling for his past and his background. Also, he's just as big of an asshole in the book... only I could take him more seriously; the guy they chose for him has good acting skills, but he's just a bit too faggy for the role.

Theres a rip of it online. The quality is alright, not 720p by any stretch though. Generally during calmer moments the quality is nice, but during more action oriented moments it gets pixelated as fuck.
