no, the multiplayer is the reach engine and not the combat evolved engine. it might even have armor abilities etc.

Fuck! Now I'm thinking I should just sell back Fallout: Vegas. Am I really going to want to replay all that if I am glitch-locked? I felt Fallout 3 did most things better, Vegas just has more interesting stuff and characters.

the entire well of good will and lasting support for the first halo game wasn't people clamoring for this hd campaign thing. they all wanted to be able to play the ce multiplayer with matchmaking and end of story. the years of lan parties and direct connect attest to that as well. multi carried the game. its been like that since halo 2 and they knew about it. that frankie o connor guy is even cagey about directly answering questions to that effect because they know they dropped the ball.

yeah i'm with you; they commit to his character and mostly keep him from becoming a caricature. there are so many parts in those games (particularly the second one) where i just blurted HO HO, HOLY SHIT !! at my teevee because kratos is viciously mashing a dude's head in a door or whatever. there's nothing cute or self-aware about it.

Blades first, like always. The Cestus are reasonably useful as well, so you want to upgrade those too, but as much as they tried to make the other weapons more useful this time, it really boils down to the same as always.

And by the way, I agree that it's good they at least didn't try to make Kratos or the game as a whole somehow comically self-aware. As over the top as the character is, I actually find it far more tolerable without any comical angle to soften him up. Kratos always takes the Renegade option and fuck you, Paragon's for pussies.

Blades first, like always. The Cestus are reasonably useful as well, so you want to upgrade those too, but as much as they tried to make the other weapons more useful this time, it really boils down to the same as always.

Start upgrading the Cestus as soon as you get them. You'll have a couple parts where you have to use them so it's easy to be ready for that.
