Just went back and finally finished my Veteran playthrough of Killzone 3 today. Without the cripplingly high expectations I had going in the first time, I gotta say, the game's actually pretty nice. Of course it helped that I only had to do the last portion starting with the MAWLR fight, and that's the best part of the game anyway.

Ditch that statue, because you know it's going to come broken, and I'd be all over that collector's edition depending on how big the art book is. Less than 200 pages and that thing can fuck right off.

Beat Shadows of the Damned. It was good and I liked the ending, but it had so many damn annoying parts that I kept not wanting to go play it and a lot of valuable baming time has gone down the tube because I was hesitant to go back to it. I don't think I can recommend it unless you have nothing else to play.


Hey, anyone remember who long it takes to finish Mass Effect 2 with all the DLC? I wanted to play it again before I go on vacation and lose my "bachelor situation", but I'm thinking I don't have enough time realistically.

I may try to finish off Bulletstorm instead.

unless half of these games end up absolutely blowing, i think that's almost indisputable.

if you would have told me in my teen years that in my late 20s i'd be more excited about a season of game releases than ever before, i would have either been blown away by how awesome games were going to get, or by how much of a sadsack i was going to be.

and to clarify which one, i've already preordered dark souls and skyrim, and am definitely getting arkham city, uncharted 3, ico collection, plus a lot of those games used/reduced.

also i'm not ashamed to say i'm excited for twisted metal in early 2012 or whenever.
