I used to feel bad for thinking this, but true is true.
The only Rolling Stones cd I ever enjoyed was Hot Rocks.

I respect your opinion, but I'll never understand liking rock and not loving the Stones. even a random album like ''it's only rock n roll'' is filled with great songs.
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007
and for a real answer, i think the stones' best songs were singles only mostly
the doors???

I know you might be joking but if anyone actually thinks this they're wrong as fuck. every fucking record until the last two is a hits album by itself. there is not a bad song or misstep ANYWHERE to that point. even the last two are spotty genius. best American rock band ever

that's harsh. some of manzarek's leads/solos are just shy of genius

Besides its production (and cover) this whole album is fucking awesome

I just consider this their greatest hits, since, well, wasn't pretty much every song off of it a hit?
pretty much.
it's a great fucking album. they're a classic case of a band who blew a mega load on their first album and had jack shit for a second album but went into a studio anyways.

That's hard for me to do. I once told a gay guy I work with that the Doors were like "the Stooges for xasthur fans". We didn't talk for a few days after that.
