I started MGS3 and half hour or so into it... I think it kinda sucks.

i felt the same way for the first hour or two. it gets really awesome, just stick it out.

i think it took them at least 3 games to figure out how to map the controls to the dual analog sticks properly

if theres ever one perfect iteration that works the sticks properly and has zillions of parts i'll probably buy it

hahaha, the only ones I liked were basically stick-free... look up/down was assigned to the bumpers IIRC... no wonder no one played those fucking games. I was king of that weird-ass control setup though

the one (#2?) that had the branching storylines was so much fun

I have tried to play that game like 3 separate times and I never get past the first town after the one you start in (right after you get your vehicle). Someone told me "Trust me, once you get the vehicle it's a blast!". Except it's really clunky driving controls and I hate all the characters.

I checked out the demo last night. When I selected it for download, I was like "Let's see what this gay shit is about"

hahah, yeah that's what i thought when i first pulled up the title screen on the XMB. but goddamn the environments are at or near the pinnacle of 2D gaming IMO. will buy soon for sure.

I finally started playing Oblivion last night... I am a Nord born under The Thief... and because I've spent the entire game so far (which isn't much, I just got to the part where you meet up with the Emperor and his guards again in the first dungeon) in sneak mode, my Sneak skill is going up pretty fast...
