I think I'm pretty much done with Borderlands 1. The redundant enemies and settings were getting to me than I made the dumbass mistake of popping in BL2 just to get a glimpse. It's like trying to go back to Super Mario Bros after playing Super Mario 3 for the first time and only playing a teaser amount.

yep, I'm definitely checking it out, I think it's a bold move, since many people will make their buying decisions on this. I guess I belong the the rare species of single/campaign players in this genre.

When it comes to Geoff's life, what aren't you to blame for?

Yeah, I'm done with BL1 and with Dishonored coming out next week I'm in a mini-bind as to what to play tomorrow. Think I'll restart New Vegas.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Borderlands 2 but it severely suffered down the stretch and ended with a shitty finale just like the first game. Was completely unsatisfying for me but oh well, it' still a great experience and they have set an insane bar to reach on any further sequels. I don't think I'll really put any more time into though, I have no desire at all to go NG+ right now.

looking back I enjoyed playing Sleeping Dogs a lot more

I think Pisscubes deserves the cold shoulder when it comes to game recommendations.

I skipped Sleeping Dogs for the same reason I'll skip gta V, the open world run/drive around a bit, shoot a bit and watch cut scenes games just zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Didn't finish gtv IV or saints row 2, RDR can suck dusty cunt and just cause 2 was one of the worst fucking mistakes I've made with my life.

I'm not trying to change your mind Slinks but I want you to know I made it maybe an hour into each of GTAIV, Saints Row 3 and RDR before getting totally bored out of my mind

I'll spoiler more ME3 talk because it's probably annoying by now haha.
SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
I had a blast with my only playthrough (minus the ending) but looking back on it, overall it is a mostly terrible game. Bar none the laziest sidequests ever (they make Borderlands 1's sidequests look deep and complex), multiplayer maps rehashed for sp missions, way too repetitive gameplay, a completely uninspired last act on Earth with equally horrible level design, the worst opening (them thinking we'll be blown away by that opening because "It's Earth and you're from Earth, bro" = :fp: ) and ending of any story heavy game I've ever played, Bioware yet again falling back on the round up some people to defeat the big bad guy that we already did in the previous two games, that retarded dream sequence, that fucking kid, and despite Bioware saying "your choices will matter through all three games!!!"....they really don't matter at all. I've been spoiled by games like The Witcher games, Alpha Protocol and New Vegas actually implementing story changing decisions instead of using it for a marketing tool so maybe that's not a fair criticism haha.

On the PC side of things, it's a goddamn mess technically. The texture work is all over the place with high res, detailed faces combined with PS1 level clothing textures. The sound is horribly mixed and they couldn't even support controllers for the game when the game is designed around a controller. 아이고......

The shooting is the best of all three games and the story stuff with Wrex/Mordin and Tali/the geth guy I can't remember was superb. Honestly, the multiplayer is the best thing about the game and that's pretty sad when it's a story focused "rpg."

I'm still really, really curious why not one review mentioned how different, unexpected and just horribly written the endings are. It negates everything the game stood for in order to stroke the lead writer and producer's egos. :wank: Guess gaming sites don't want to miss out on those EA advertising dollars.

I'm not sick of Borderlands 2 at all, but I'm not going to play it again for at least a week.

I have a tournament coming up next weekend and I haven't played Street Fighter or Persona 4 Arena since that game came out. I'm probably going to get scrubbed out....

So I got BL2 because you guys wouldn't stop yappin' about it. I basically didn't get the first one because the general consensus seemed to be that it needs to be played co-op, so I have no idea here, but I'm liking this quite a bit so far.

It's not even close to a perfect game but if you ask me what the greatest game of all time is very quickly I may just slip up and say RE2. My original disks stopped working years ago but I have it downloaded from PSN and every so often I just can't help going on a play-through.

Game rules.
Agreed.
The only question that I thought was hard was do I like Kirk, or do I like Picard?
