PC doods: GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN

Use this code on http://www.greenmangaming.com for 25% off almost any game they have including pre-orders. I just pre-ordered Hitman: Absolution for about $34. The code expires 10/8 I believe.

you got it mang

That game was like a Saving Private Ryan D-Day landing craft full of zombies trained to storm the shores of pop culture. It took a long time because they're retarded shambling corpses but they did eventually succeed in romeroficating the entire beach. French parents 60 years from now will be swatting at their children, saying 'dont pick that up, leave it in the sand, those were ugly days.'

and rob zombie will laugh and release a remix of their vacation because he's the one that you waunted-ah

And I still can't believe that 30 Gold trophy glitched on ya! Haha I was hoping it'd pop for me, now I gotta deal with the random annoying gambling games on Sleeping Dogs and the singing crap. Sadly once I do Platinum this game, its gone. I saw the future plans for Sleeping Dogs and its nothing but clothing packs, more cars, and some guns. After completing everything there just isn't any longevity to the game. Mer, at least we're a month away from Hitman Absolution!

Hurm. It's been a smorgasbord of error messages, restarts and Windows having to fix installations of things I don't understand so far. You know, PC gaming. When it does run it's frickin' awesome, though.

Yeah, that sounds awesome, I'm just not convinced 1st person melee is suddenly a good idea. But we'll see. I'll probably have to get this.

The sword or whatever is only a tiny, tiny part of your arsenal. Besides, Arkane already got fp melee right with Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

almost through Demons Souls
decided not to try and platinum it. I may come back to it after I finish it, but I want a break. i'm totally annihilating shit now, so I'm interested to see how the False King and the Valley of Defilement treat me. the Penetrator Knight was fucking cake.

downloaded Police Quest 1-4 and Gabriel Knight 2 from GOG for less than $7.00
can't decide which to play first.

If you haven't done the Valley of Defilement yet, you're not "almost through"... that's pretty much everyone's most hated level.

right, but in terms of levels completed, all I have left is 5 and the king. I've managed to wipe out Maneater, The Old Monk (the dude that showed up for that fight was either stupid or let me win), and Penetrator Knight without ~any~ difficulty. I just feel like it's all picking up. I've gone through parts of 5, but haven't bothered with the first boss. I know it's the hardest bit, which is why I saved it for last... but I'm feeling confident going in, moreso than when I started levels 3 and 4.

i started royalty

but i'm doing a battle mage type build - I went after the Dragon Long Sword early, and upgraded it to a +5 as quickly as possible. Using Soul Ray a ton for when combat at a distance works, then switching to Warding and the Dragon Sword up close. I died two or three times against Maneater, but the first time I ran to the center of the level, I was able to take both of them out. Just put on the thieves ring and cling ring, run to the center, and take stabs at the first one as you can, being super patient. When Warding runs out, eat some spice, recast it, attack, and roll around the center of the stage. Certain of their attacks cause longer pauses so you can get more than one or two stabs in, and with the Dragon Sword at +5, you're doing a good amount of damage. With warding, if they hit you, it doesn't cause much damage anyway. They both ganged up on me only once, and I was able to avoid death long enough for the other to fly off and leave me alone with the other maneater.

Do it right and the second one won't notice you until you're done with the first. It'll just fly off into the distance while you're going at the other.

I was trying to get a magic sword up to +5, but I think I lost the opportunity because the minerals I need for it only show up in 4-2 and at the Storm King level, and I never see the crystal lizards there anymore. My Crescent Flachion is at +4, though, and I think it'll do more damage than the Dragon Sword +5 once I get my magic up a little higher.

Flamelurker was definitely much harder for me. I also got hung up on the Storm King the first few goes. Even after I realized what I had to do, I couldn't figure out how to dodge those missiles. Accidentally dodged them all behind a rock once and after that it was cake. But that took like 4 or 5 tries. I was thinking if I rolled the right way at the right time... but nope. Just gotta hide behind walls and do it slow.
